Job summary

ProMedica Toledo Hospital in Toledo, OH is seeking a Pre-Analytic Technician for the Lab Processing unit on the night shift. You will perform essential specimen preparation, ensure tests are properly selected, and verify specimen types to support accurate patient results.

You will log routine maintenance on instruments, keep work areas clean and stocked, and collaborate with clinical staff to interpret test requirements.

Qualifications

Job Summary:

As a Pre-Analytic Technician, you will have a direct impact on patient outcomes by conducting vital tests and analyses helping in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. You will make sure patients receive accurate and timely test results. In this role, you must know combinations of tests and the acceptable minimum volumes. You must also be familiar with test synonyms and abbreviations and cross-referencing tests to specimen types. You will complete and log routine maintenance on lab equipment and workstations and ensuring work areas are clean and stocked.
