Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CMA/RMA or ABROE certification or two years of back-office clinical experience.
• Office Laboratory Assistant certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• HIPAA and OSHA knowledge.
• Customer service principles.
• Six months of EKG and blood-draw experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preadmission screening and testing per patient history.
• Obtain medical clearances from physicians as needed.
• Record patients' medical history in the EMR.
• Provide excellent patient care and answer questions.
• Assist with pre-surgical assessments and medication reconciliation.
• Perform administrative tasks including data entry.
• Maintain attendance and punctuality.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
