Job summary

Pchas in Missouri is seeking a Practicum Student for the Family Solutions for Kids (FSK) program. This position provides an opportunity to deliver individual and family therapy to clients, initially via telehealth with potential for in-home services.

As a practicum student, you will receive supervision by a licensed clinician, participate in agency-sponsored trainings, and be eligible for a weekly stipend of $150. Candidates must maintain confidentiality and HIPAA standards, have a valid driver’s license, and fulfill all practicum requirements.

Responsibilities

Family Solutions for Kids (FSK) Practicum Student Program

Agreement between the Practicum Student and PCHAS.

PCHAS will provide:

• Opportunity to provide individual and family therapy to FSK clients.
• Initially via telehealth, with the potential to provide in-home services as the practicum student progresses.
• Orientation regarding policies, procedures, documentation for the Program, and software used.
• Opportunities to participate in agency-sponsored trainings such as TBRI and The Strengths Model.
• Information regarding community-based trainings.
• Information regarding community resources.
• Supervision by a licensed clinician for practicum activities and documentation to the student’s school.
• Weekly stipend of $150, paid bi-weekly.
• Appropriate taxes will be deducted from the stipend as required by the IRS.
• Mileage reimbursement, if applicable.

Requirements

• Set a schedule, including an average of 8 hours of therapy per week and up to 2 hours of case management services.
• Attend and participate in bi-weekly staffings and bi-weekly team meetings as appropriate.
• Maintain client files and documentation according to ethical/legal standards and policy requirements, accurately and timely.
• Meet the school’s required practicum hours.
• Keep in communication with the practicum supervisor regarding schedule and case updates.
• Utilize own devices (computer and cell phone).
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA standards for all assigned clients and families.
• Hold a valid driver’s license with a risk-free driving record.
• Be willing to undergo initial and periodic child abuse/neglect, criminal history, sexual offender, and childcare/elder care disqualification list screenings.
• Submit fingerprints for state and FBI review as requested.
• Undergo a pre-employment drug screen and a pre-employment physical with results showing no evidence of communicable disease.
