Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking a surgical coordinator to support pre-operative interviews and the scheduling of surgical procedures. The role collaborates with hospital staff, providers, and facilities to ensure smooth coordination of patients and procedures.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of surgical coordination experience, preferably in an acute care setting, and can effectively educate patients about surgical processes and timelines.

Job description

Clinical experience preferred Summary Reporting to the Practice Manager, and/or Assistant Practice Manager, and under the direction of the providers, is responsible for the pre-operative interview of patients and appropriate scheduling of surgical procedures. Works closely with hospital or facility where procedure will be performed to make appropriate arrangements, and assists in coordination of meetings, as well as provider, clinic, surgery and on-call schedules. Education High school or equivalent (GED). Associates Degree (A.D.)and/or Diploma in Nursing is desirable, but not required. Certification, Registration & Licensure None required.
