Job summary

Mission Hospital McDowell in Marion, North Carolina, is seeking a customer-service focused team member to support daily operations of the physician practice. You will greet patients and visitors, handle front-desk duties, and help ensure a smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include check-in/check-out, collecting insurance information, and basic filing. Prior healthcare or practice-management software experience is preferred to support efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience in customer service or healthcare is preferred.
• Experience with scheduling, registration, billing, and medical records in a practice management system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, visitors, physicians, and staff in person and on the phone.
• Process patient check-ins and check-outs.
• Obtain insurance information and assist with filing and basic documentation.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Provide excellent customer service and complete a variety of duties associated with daily operations of the physician practice. Greets patients, visitors, physicians, and employees in a pleasant manner both over the telephone and face-to-face. Checks patients in and out, obtains insurance information and completes filing.

What qualifications you will need:

• Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred Experience: One year experience in a customer service role or healthcare setting. Experience working with practice management software including scheduling, registration, billing and medical record
