Medical College of Wisconsin is offering a Practice Operations Intern position in Milwaukee. The role supports coaching and improvement work across leadership teams using structured problem solving, data analysis, and process improvement techniques.
You will learn and apply change management principles, facilitate teams, and help develop project charters while tracking key metrics to drive measurable improvements.
Under the direction of the Practice Director of Development and Improvement, the Practice Operations Intern will learn, assist and apply skills needed to provide coaching and support to diverse leadership teams in performance improvement, change management and leadership training through the application of basic and advanced problem‑solving principles and thinking. Tools used include structured problem solving, process maps, visual management, facilitation, project management, and change management skills to support continuous process improvement.
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to initiate and complete projects. Willing to learn team leadership skills, problem‑solving, analysis, change management, and process improvement skills. Analytical and computer skills, including knowledge and use of statistics, spreadsheets and word processing software, Visio, electronic mail and the internet. Ability to learn new systems software. Independent and self‑motivated.
Minimum Required Education: Senior Undergraduate Student in good standing
Preferred Education: Graduate Student in good standing
