Job Summary:
The Practice Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations, staff, patient experience, and financial performance of the medical practice. This role ensures streamlined administrative processes, regulatory compliance, and exceptional patient care, while directly overseeing staff performance and driving the collection and optimization of practice revenue.
- Oversee daily administrative operations - including scheduling, billing, patient flow, and office efficiency.
- Directly manage and monitor revenue cycle functions, including billing, coding, insurance claims, patient collections, and accounts receivable.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of insurance claims and follow up on denials and underpayments.
- Supervise front office and administrative staff - handle recruitment, training, and performance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA).
- Collaborate with clinical staff and providers to support efficient and high-quality patient care.
- Resolve patient and staff conflicts professionally and in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized documentation, records, and administrative processes to ensure operational efficiency.
- Manage vendor contracts, inventory, and medical/office supply procurement.
- Use data and reports to analyze performance, improve collections, and streamline operations.
- Oversee and maintain electronic health record (EHR) systems and train staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Minimum of 2 years of operational management experience- preferably in a medical practice.
- Strong knowledge of medical insurance plans, billing practices, coding, and collections.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to administrative detail.
- Strong conflict resolution and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Understanding of healthcare compliance and patient privacy standards.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation: $70,000-$100,000/year commensurate with experience

- Proficient with or able to quickly learn ModMed and other medical office software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with patients and team members
