Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of management experience including 1 year healthcare experience.
• Associate's Degree with 3 years healthcare experience and 3 years management experience.
• High School Diploma with 5 years healthcare experience and 5 years of management experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor practice operations to identify areas for improvement and expansion of services.
• Develop strategic plans for practices.
• Serve as liaison to UPMC departments and resources.
• Communicate effectively with staff, physicians and peers.
• Ensure compliance with UPMC policies and procedures.
• Monitor practice benchmarks and scheduling for timely patient access.
• Oversee renovations and building utilization with UPMC and external services.
• Review procedures to implement more efficient systems.
• Assist in physician relations as needed.
• Develop and maintain a patient-centric culture.

The UPMC Jameson Heart and Vascular Institute is hiring a Practice Manager to join the HVI Team! This full-time roll will work Monday through Friday day shift at both UPMC Jameson and UPMC Horizon – Shenango Valley with no holidays or weekends required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor practice operations to identify areas for improvement, expansion of services, and potential new market areas.
• Develop strategic plans for practices.
• Serve as liaison to various UPMC departments and resources.
• Communicate effectively with staff, physicians and peers through oral and written communications.
• Ensure compliance with all UPMC policies and procedures.
• Monitor and meet practice specific benchmarks inclusive of point of service and scheduling (inclusive of template management for timely patient access), if applicable.
• Serve as liaison for renovations, construction and building utilization with UPMC and outside construction services.
• Review and evaluate the effectiveness of current procedures and plans with Office/Practice Manager and Physician to develop and implement new, more efficient systems and procedures as required to improve office operations.
• Assist in physician relations as necessary.
• Develop and maintain a patient-centric culture, centered around patient arrival and follow up activities in line with the consumerism initiatives, if applicable.
• Supervise and oversee practice budgets.
• Maintain knowledge initiatives as it relates to the operation of the practices.
• Assist in the due diligence, practice valuations, contract negotiations and staffing as required.
• Oversee and assist in the recruitment of staff and new practices.
• Ensure appropriate and high quality staffing through the strategic placement of office coordinators, office and practice managers.
