Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or Management required.
  • 7–10 years of progressive management experience in a high-volume healthcare environment.
  • Experience in a private practice setting preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with EMR systems and data-driven performance metrics.
  • Experience growing ancillary service lines, ideally allergy and/or audiology.

Responsibilities

  • Lead ancillary service line growth, focusing on allergy and audiology, to expand service volume and revenue.
  • Develop, staff and scale allergy and audiology programs across care centers.
  • Establish and monitor metrics for ancillary lines (referral capture, utilization, profitability).
  • Recruit, mentor and retain a high-performing team of clinical and administrative staff.
  • Oversee daily workflows and staffing to ensure seamless clinic coverage and patient flow.
  • Partner with MSO to implement corporate growth initiatives, including ancillary expansion.
  • Drive standardization of workflows, policies, and SOPs across sites.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and HIPAA adherence while promoting quality.

The main focus of this role will be ancillary growth, including allergy and audiology. The Practice Manager will lead the development and expansion of ancillary service lines while overseeing the daily clinical and business operations of the practice.

Key Areas of Responsibility
Ancillary Growth (Primary Focus)
  • Ancillary Service Line Growth: Serve as the primary driver of ancillary services growth, with a focus on allergy and audiology, developing and executing strategies to expand service volume, revenue, and patient access.
  • Program Development: Partner with physicians, audiologists, and clinical staff to build, staff, and scale allergy and audiology programs across the care center.
  • Performance Tracking: Establish and monitor key metrics for ancillary service lines — including referral capture, utilization, and profitability — and adjust strategies to meet growth targets.
Strategic Leadership & Culture
  • Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing team of clinical and administrative staff.
  • Culture Champion: Cultivate a workplace of mutual respect, engagement and high morale; facilitate monthly staff meetings that drive alignment and engagement.
  • Operational Agility: Oversee daily workflows and staffing schedules to ensure seamless clinic coverage and patient flow.
Financial & Operational Excellence
  • P&L Management: Take full ownership of key financial indicators, including P&L oversight, accounts receivable, and CPT frequency analysis.
  • Business Intelligence: Translate monthly financial and management reports into actionable strategies to improve practice profitability.
  • Strategic Scheduling: Analyze and optimize physician schedules to maximize patient access and provider productivity.
  • Partner effectively with management services organization (MSO) to implement / roll out corporate growth initiatives — including ancillary service expansion — aimed at improving quality and enhancing financial performance of the care centers.
  • Drive standardization to implement consistent workflows, policies, and standard operating procedures across clinical sites.
Compliance & Patient Advocacy
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the practice remains a "center of excellence" by upholding rigorous regulatory compliance and HIPAA-mandated patient confidentiality.
  • Corporate Liaison: Represent the practice at monthly and quarterly regional meetings and maintain a collaborative partnership with the MSO.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
  • Academic Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or Management required; Master’s Degree (MHA/MBA) highly preferred.
  • Proven Track Record: 7-10 years of progressive management experience within a high-volume healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a private practice setting. Advanced proficiency with EMR systems and data-driven performance metrics, including business intelligence software. Experience leading successful teams in a data rich environment.
  • Ancillary Services Experience: Experience growing ancillary service lines — ideally allergy and/or audiology — is strongly preferred.

Physical & Environmental Demands

This role operates in a professional medical office environment and requires the ability to remain mobile throughout the clinic. Candidates must be able to communicate clearly (verbal and written) and utilize standard office technology. Travel between offices within a care center is required.
