Job summary

NorthShore Health Centers seeks a Practice Manager to cultivate a positive work environment and coordinate across departments to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Responsibilities include enforcing policies, managing time and attendance, supervising exam rooms and staff, coordinating safety drills, and collaborating with compliance. Excellent communication and leadership are required.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have reliable transportation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare related studies preferred; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills expected.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Oversee daily operations with Department Managers and troubleshoot issues.
  • Monitor time and attendance to ensure proper site coverage.
  • Enforce NorthShore policies on professionalism, punctuality, and dress code.
  • Coordinate safety drills, inspections, and compliance with the department.
  • Provide cross-site support and regular site communications.

Summary/ObjectivePractice Manager will cultivate a positive work environment, collaborate with department managers, enforce policies, and ensure operational efficiency.Essential FunctionsFoster a positive and supportive work environment. Cultivate an open, honest, team-oriented work cultureRespond to concerns of patients, providers, and staff patiently and with the goal of helping everyone succeedWorks closely with Department Managers to oversee daily work activities. Troubleshooting challenges that arise and delegating to the appropriate manager. Keeping open communication and meeting regularly to address concerns.Daily review of time and attendance ensuring that site has appropriate coverage and reaching out to Regional/Department Manager as issues need addressedEnforcing NorthShore policies regarding professionalism, punctuality, dress code, and culture for all employees with their clinicEnsures exam rooms, workstations, all equipment, and other work areas are organized, clean, and functionalMonitors supply inventories to ensure operational levels are maintainedMonitors, inspects, and reports incidents as they arise within clinicWorks with the compliance department and coordinates all site-specific programsResponsible for monthly and quarterly site inspections and conducts all required drills and inspectionsAddress Safety Zone issuesProvide support to other NSHC sites of varying levels as neededThese essential functions are a summary of the primary duties and responsibilities of the position, and are not intended to be a comprehensive listing of all duties and responsibilities. Work may include hand dexterity as well as the need to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
