*LENSAR currently has one Practice Education Specialist position available, posted in Tampa, Orlando, and Atlanta.*

Position Summary

The Practice Education Specialist is responsible for the integration, conversion, brand management, and procedural growth of Laser Cataract Procedures into surgical practices using the LENSAR LLS and ALLY Treatment System. This role is field-based and requires travel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Train staff of newly installed LENSAR LLS and/or ALLY System accounts on positioning Laser Cataract Surgery, including patient introduction, surgeon positioning, benefits, patient scripting, phone scripting, seminar opportunities, and support digital tools.
  2. Develop marketing plans with physicians regarding market introduction, advertising, and public relations, and implement timelines.
  3. Explore OD education opportunities and communicate with the Director of Practice & Patient Education as needed.
  4. Travel to practice settings for evaluations and assistance.
  5. Monitor and facilitate procedural growth and utilization of LENSAR systems within regions or accounts.
  6. Collaborate with sales, clinical specialists, and physicians to leverage business opportunities and increase revenues.
  7. Participate in team meetings, conference calls, and strategy sessions to develop new patient education tools.
  8. Report progress weekly and provide monthly updates to management.
  9. Attend corporate meetings and conferences as directed.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Knowledge, Experience, Skills, Education

To perform successfully, an individual must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in patient counseling and marketing within surgical practices.
  • Experience with practice development of premium procedures.
  • Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% across the U.S.
  • Ability to manage travel bookings and expenses.

Preferred:

  • Strong background in cataract and refractive patient workup.
Physical Demands

Requires communication with management and customers, standing for 4-5 hours during training, and lifting/moving items up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations can be provided.

Work Environment

Work is performed remotely with approximately 50% travel. Work involves extended hours, occasional weekends, and exposure to laser radiation and mechanical parts. The environment is normally moderate noise.
