Base pay range

$20.50/hr - $25.00/hr

Advanced Behavioral Health, Inc. is looking for a Bilingual Practice Coordinator, responsible for all administrative (non-clinical) aspects of patient encounters, from greeting to accurate data entry. ABH is a family-centered mental health program offering a wraparound approach to treatment, including Psychiatry, Off-Site Counseling, On-Site therapy, and Therapeutic Mentoring. If you share our mission and vision, join a team committed to making a community impact. Location: Baltimore, MD. Compensation: $20.50 - $25.00/hour. Hours: 8-hour workdays, 40 hours/week. Office hours are from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm, with some schedule variations.

Essential Functions:
  • Comply with CARF/COMAR/HIPAA/State regulations.
  • Greet and check in patients.
  • Maintain a professional front desk environment.
  • Conduct patient reminder calls 48 hours prior to appointments.
  • Verify authorization info in EMR.
  • Obtain and verify insurance eligibility and co-pay collection.
  • Schedule future appointments via EMR.
  • Follow up on missed appointments and track no-shows.
  • Create and upload medical records and authorization info in EMR.
  • Manage medication refill requests and complete prior authorizations.
  • Update authorizations daily in EMR and notify staff of status.
  • Prepare off work/school notes as needed.
  • Take and record vital signs.
  • Assist Medical Director with administrative duties.
  • Coordinate case assignments and discharges with staff.
  • Act as primary contact for referring vendors and track referrals.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respond promptly to communications.
  • Assist with workload at other locations as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Associates degree, relevant experience, or certification in health-related field.
  • Minimum five years of related experience.
  • Ability to take vitals.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with multi-line phone systems.
  • Basic healthcare insurance and EMR knowledge.
  • Organized, multi-tasker, team player.
