Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Practice Architect (PA) Master Electrician to lead electrical services across hyperscale datacenter, mission critical, industrial, and construction environments. You will set standards, shape training, and consult with customers on reliability, capacity, and safety.

The role requires 10+ years in electrical industry and 5+ years of leadership, with extensive experience in commissioning, energization, and documentation.

  • Experience in hyperscale datacenters, mission critical facilities, industrial environments.
  • Experience supporting commissioning and energization activities.
  • Experience developing operational standards and technical documentation.
  • Expert-level knowledge of electrical distribution up to 35kV+, switchgear, generators, UPS, battery technologies, grounding and bonding, arc flash mitigation, commissioning processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership as the electrical SME for services across datacenters and critical environments.
  • Develop electrical service offerings for hyperscale datacenters and critical environments.
  • Review electrical designs, MOPs, SOPs, EOPs, RFQs, SOWs, and project execution plans; support commissioning and energization.
  • Develop training programs and career paths for technicians, leads, engineers, and site managers.
  • Participate in customer-facing meetings as the electrical technical authority; advise on facility maintenance, reliability, capacity, and risk.
  • Assist with account growth and new service opportunities; support proposal development and pricing strategy.
  • Lead site assessments, root cause analyses, corrective action plans, and safety improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70/70E, OSHA and licensing requirements.

Heres what the opportunity supported through our TGS Talent Acquisition Team requires: The Practice Architect (PA) Master Electrician serves as the senior electrical subject matter expert responsible for developing, governing, and scaling electrical services across hyperscale datacenter, mission critical, industrial, and construction environments. This role provides strategic leadership for electrical operations, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, workforce development, and customer consulting engagements. The PA will partner with Operations Managers, Practice Managers, Practice Engineers, Engagement Managers, site leadership, customers, and field technicians to establish service offerings, develop standards, create training programs, and ensure electrical work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. This position acts as the organization's highest level technical authority for electrical systems and supports business development, customer solutioning, workforce strategy, service delivery excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership Serve as the organization's electrical Subject Matter Expert (SME). Develop electrical service offerings for hyperscale datacenters and critical environments.

Provide technical oversight for:

  • Low-voltage systems
  • Medium-voltage systems
  • Power distribution systems
  • Switchgear
  • UPS systems
  • Battery systems
  • Generators
  • Automatic Transfer Switches
  • Power Monitoring Systems
  • Arc Flash Programs
  • Electrical Safety Programs

Review electrical designs, MOPs, SOPs, EOPs, RFQs, SOWs, and project execution plans. Support commissioning, energization, acceptance testing, and operational turnover activities.

Practice Development Create standardized operating procedures and best practices. Define technician career paths and skills matrices.

Develop training programs for:

  • Electrical Technicians
  • Leads
  • Practice Engineers
  • Site Managers

Establish qualification standards and certification requirements. Support workforce forecasting and staffing models.

Customer Consulting Participate in customer-facing meetings as the electrical technical authority.

Provide guidance on:

  • Facility maintenance programs
  • Reliability strategies
  • Capacity planning
  • Electrical risk assessments
  • Compliance initiatives

Assist with account growth and new service opportunities. Support proposal development and pricing strategy.

Operational Excellence Conduct site assessments and audits. Lead root cause analysis investigations. Develop corrective action plans for electrical failures. Drive safety, quality, and productivity improvements. Monitor program KPIs and performance metrics. Support cost reduction and efficiency initiatives.

Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with:

  • NEC
  • NFPA 70
  • NFPA 70E
  • OSHA
  • State licensing requirements
  • Local AHJ requirements

Lead electrical safety initiatives. Review arc flash studies and switching procedures. Support incident investigations and corrective actions.

Workforce Leadership Mentor technicians and technical leaders. Support recruiting and interviewing efforts. Evaluate technical capabilities and training needs. Build succession plans for electrical practice growth. Facilitate knowledge transfer across regions.

Education

One of the following:

  • Master's Electrician License
  • Journeyman Electrician License with extensive leadership experience
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related discipline

Experience 10+ years of electrical industry experience 5+ years leading electrical teams

Experience within one or more of the following:

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $128000.00 - $192000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

We reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification.
