Qualifications

• 3-5 years clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred. If no Baccalaureate degree, must give evidence of continuing academic preparation.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality instruction in practical nursing using course materials and lesson plans.
• Demonstrates commitment to student success.
• Guides students in selection, perception, and performance of learning activities.
• Starts and ends class at designated time.
• Maintains an orderly classroom and labs, supervising student conduct.
• Manages equipment, tools, and supplies assigned to classroom.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

Substitute Instructors are responsible for delivering quality instruction in the field of practical nursing using course materials and pre-established lesson plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demonstrates a commitment to student success.
• Teaches skills appropriate to the occupational area that will prepare students to become an economic asset.
• Guides students in selection, perception, and performance of suitable learning activities.
• Starts and ends class at designated time.
• Supervises student conduct to ensure that the potentially classrooms and labs provide an orderly environment conducive to productivity.
• Accepts responsibility for equipment, tools, and supplies assigned to classroom.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• 2-4 years of nursing education experience, preferred.

SCHEDULE

Monday through Friday, hours vary based on daytime or evening shift to be worked. Must work a minimum of one time every six weeks. Must be willing to go to all clinical sites.
