Job summary

The Lancaster County Career & Technology Center invites applications for a Full-Time Daytime Practical Nursing Instructor at its Health Sciences Center in Willow Street, PA. The instructor leads the Practical Nursing Program, designs and evaluates curriculum, and guides students in clinical, lab, and classroom settings to prepare for entry-level nursing roles.

Requirements include graduation from an approved nursing program and a current PA RN license; preferred 2–4 years nursing education

Qualifications

Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing.
Current PA RN license (must be Pennsylvania license or compact state).
2-4 years nursing education experience preferred.
3-5 years clinical nursing experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree (preferably in nursing); if no BSN, evidence of continuing academic preparation.

Responsibilities

Continuously formulates, implements, and evaluates the school's philosophy and objectives.
Participates in classroom, laboratory, and clinical teaching activities, as assigned.
Provides classroom, lab, and clinical instruction.
Assesses, develops, and implements learning programs and associated materials, preparing students for entry-level employment as practical nurses.
Prepares, presents, and evaluates course content.
Supervises, mentors, and evaluates students in the classroom, lab, and clinical area.
Designs, conducts, and implements activities for use in the simulation lab.
Monitors and maintains simulation models and requests repairs, equipment, and supplies as necessary.
Schedules and coordinates the use of the simulation lab for activities and training.
Participates in counseling and guidance services.
Engages in committee assignments.
Demonstrates evidence of professional growth by participating in educational activities such as seminars, workshops, professional meetings, faculty and self-development programs, or graduate study.
Adheres to school and faculty personnel policies.
Assists in the preparation of special curriculum activities as assigned (ex. graduation and recruitment events).
Other duties as assigned.
