Job summary

WSU Tech is seeking a Nursing Faculty member to deliver classroom, laboratory, and clinical nursing instruction, while mentoring students and updating curricula to meet industry standards. The role emphasizes collaboration, assessment, and continuous improvement in a supportive academic environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Nursing (or equivalent) and a Bachelor’s in Nursing, with a current Kansas RN license and commitment to professional development.

Qualifications

• Two years of current nursing, nurse educator, nurse practitioner, or closely related experience.
• Active, unrestricted Kansas RN license throughout employment.
• Ability to obtain required clinical site health screenings, TB testing, immunizations, and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Teach classroom, laboratory, and clinical nursing courses.
• Develop engaging learning experiences that connect theory to practice.
• Mentor and support students throughout their educational journey.
• Maintain student records, grades, attendance, and required documentation.
• Develop and update curriculum to meet industry standards.
• Participate in program assessment, accreditation, and continuous improvement.
• Stay current with nursing practice and educational best practices.
