CiTi BOCES is seeking a part-time Practical Nursing Instructor to guide students through patient care, provide feedback, and ensure skill development through on-site instruction. The role includes pre- and post-conferences, rotating among students, and reviewing clinical workbook entries.

The position emphasizes hands-on clinical leadership, structured conferences, and collaboration with CiTi’s K-12 calendar. Start date is 10/26/2026 with a closing deadline of 10/23/2026.

Formación

• RN with BSN and at least one year of nursing experience; medical-surgical preferred.
• Clinical instructor prepares students for clinical expectations and provides constructive feedback.
• Ability to rotate among students, assign patients, observe, teach and review workbook entries.

CiTi BOCES is seeking a part-time (Tuesdays & Thursdays) Practical Nursing Instructor to facilitate effective clinical learning experiences by guiding students through patient care, providing feedback, and ensuring skill development through structured conferences and on-site instruction.

The Practical Nursing Instructor will:

• Conduct pre-conference to prepare students for clinical expectations
• Conduct post-conference to review learning, clarify concepts, and reinforce key points
• Assign students to patients and adjust assignments as needed
• Rotate among students during clinical to:
• Observe performance
• Provide instruction
• Deliver positive, constructive feedback
• Identify teachable moments and offer timely guidance and support
• Review student clinical workbook entries

Timeframe:

While class is in session, students complete 312 clinical hours. Preparation time available prior to the start of the program and while class is not in session. Additional time for review of student performance and collaboration provided. Attendance at graduation is expected.

Compensation:

• Same holiday, winter and spring break schedule as CiTi's K-12 school calendar
• TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Per the Teacher CBA - $40.00/hour
• 312 Instructional Clinical Hours annually plus time for preparation and grading.

Dual Instructional Role Potential:

Successful Clinical Instructor candidates may be offered additional opportunities to teach in the skills laboratory, providing increased instructional involvement and flexibility within the program. 147 Instructional Lab Hours plus time for preparation and grading.
