Job summary

Regions Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Cardiology team. You will provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients under supervision, collaborating with physicians, NPs, RNs, and other care staff to implement the plan of care.

The role supports department Quality Improvement initiatives and may involve varied start times within the 7:30 AM–5:00 PM window. Minnesota LPN license and BCLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Practical Nurse by the State of Minnesota.
• Completion of an accredited training program for practical nursing.
• BCLS for healthcare providers through AHA.
• Ability to problem solve, make decisions, and collaborate with multiple team members
• Ability to multitask patient care issues, in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to adult and geriatric patients within cardiology.

Practical Nurse, Cardiology Clinic Per Diem

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Manager of Clinical Operations, the practical nurse is responsible and accountable for the delivery of nursing care to adult and geriatric patients. The nurse is responsible for collaborating with other healthcare team members (i.e., MD, PA, NP, RN, cardiology technician, ambulatory care coordinators) to implement the patient’s plan of care. The LPN will participate in department Quality Improvement Programs and perform other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule

Per Diem
Monday - Friday, days may vary
8 hour days, start & end times may vary between 7:30AM - 5:00PM

Required Qualifications

• Licensed as a Practical Nurse by the State of Minnesota.
• Completion of an accredited training program for practical nursing.
• Certifications:
  • BCLS for healthcare providers required through AHA.
• Ability to problem solve, make decisions, and collaborate with multiple team members

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of six months experience as a practical nurse in a clinic setting
• Cardiology experience.
