Job summary

HealthPartners' Regions Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Practical Nurse to join the Cardiology Clinic. The LPN delivers nursing care to adults and the elderly under clinical supervision and collaborates with physicians, nurses and ambulatory care staff to execute the patient plan of care.

The role supports Cardiology services on a per diem basis, participates in quality improvement activities, and may involve varying start times within a 7:30 AM–5:00 PM window.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (MN)
• Accredited practical nursing program completed
• BCLS certification required (AHA)
• Ability to problem solve and collaborate with the care team
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology

Practical Nurse, Cardiology Clinic Per Diem

Regions Hospital is looking to hire a Per Diem LPN to join our Cardiology team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Manager of Clinical Operations, the practical nurse is responsible and accountable for the delivery of nursing care to adult and geriatric patients. The nurse is responsible for collaborating with other healthcare team members (i.e., MD, PA, NP, RN, cardiology technician, ambulatory care coordinators) to implement the patient’s plan of care. The LPN will participate in department Quality Improvement Programs and perform other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule

Per Diem
Monday - Friday, days may vary
8 hour days, start & end times may vary between 7:30AM - 5:00PM

Required Qualifications

• Licensed as a Practical Nurse by the State of Minnesota.
• Completion of an accredited training program for practical nursing.
• Certifications:
  • BCLS for healthcare providers required through AHA.
• Ability to problem solve, make decisions, and collaborate with multiple team members
• Ability to multitask patient care issues, in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of six months experience as a practical nurse in a clinic setting
• Cardiology experience.
