Job summary

Maxwell, a female-owned integrated marketing agency in Portland, OR, is seeking a part-time, paid intern eager to learn PR. You will support multiple account teams, work with local brands, and gain hands-on experience in media relations, influencer outreach, and monitoring coverage.

Responsibilities include developing media lists, tracking coverage, assisting with pitches, and contributing to client reports. A hybrid in-office setup, with opportunities for learning and growth, is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, PR or Communications or 1–2 years related experience.
• Previous PR internship experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist multiple client teams in media relations and PR program execution.
• Monitor, track and report editorial and social media coverage for multiple clients.
• Identify earned media pitching opportunities and flag stories for outreach.
• Maintain and update media lists and develop targeted media/influencer lists.
• Help write and revise media materials and review media/influencer feeds for trends.
• Coordinate and execute media and influencer mailings.
• Attend internal meetings and summarize notes or conduct research as needed.
