Atom.com is seeking an entry-level PR & Communications Specialist to support media outreach, organize lists, and assist with product launches and brand storytelling. You will work closely with the marketing and leadership team in a fast-moving startup environment.

This role is ideal for someone early in their PR career with exposure to media outreach or writing, who is highly organized and eager to learn. You will track outreach, coordinate campaigns, and contribute to Atom's domain marketplace

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in PR, communications, or journalism.
• Exposure to media outreach, pitching, or content creation through an internship, agency, or in-house role.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Comfortable working in Google Sheets and Docs, and highly organized.
• Interest in startups, tech, or branding.
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and execute consistently.

Responsibilities

• Media List Building: Research journalists and outlets across business, tech, and startup media; maintain lists; segment by topic and campaign.
• Outreach Support: Send pitches using templates; track outreach activity and journalist responses; ensure timely follow-ups.
• Press Materials: Update press releases, pitch templates, and briefing documents; provide light writing/editing support.
• Campaign Execution: Coordinate media outreach around product launches and announcements; assist with scheduling and logistics.
• Tracking & Reporting: Maintain spreadsheets tracking outreach activity and coverage; log responses and placements.

Atom.com is looking for a PR & Communications Specialist to support our media outreach efforts and build real PR experience in a fast-moving startup environment.

This is an execution-focused, entry-level role. You will work closely with the marketing and leadership team to organize outreach, manage media lists, and support pitching efforts across startup announcements, product launches, and brand storytelling. It is ideal for someone early in their PR career who has some exposure to media outreach or communications work and is ready to grow into a stronger practitioner.

What You’ll Do

Media List Building

• Research relevant journalists, editors, and outlets across business, tech, and startup media
• Maintain and organize media lists in a shared tracker
• Segment lists by topic, beat, and campaign

Outreach Support

• Send pitches and follow-ups using pre-written messaging and templates
• Track outreach activity and journalist responses
• Help ensure consistent and timely follow-up cycles

Press Materials

• Assist in updating press releases, pitch templates, and briefing documents
• Provide light writing and editing support

Campaign Execution

• Help coordinate media outreach around product launches and announcements
• Support scheduling and logistics for PR campaigns

Tracking & Reporting

• Maintain spreadsheets tracking outreach activity and coverage
• Log responses, opens, and placements

What We’re Looking For
