Job summary

Candescent is seeking a hands-on Communications Manager to support media relations, PR programs, and employee communications. This producing role drafts, edits, coordinates, and publishes content while supporting internal and external narratives.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Director, Content & PR, manage media readiness, brief executives, and help translate PR strategy into measurable U.S. campaigns across digital and traditional channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communications, marketing, or related field.
• 3–5 years PR or communications experience, including U.S. media relations in B2B, fintech, SaaS, or agency settings.
• Experience briefing PR agencies; strong news judgment and AP style; writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

Responsibilities

• Support U.S. media relations efforts with story development, pitch coordination, and earned media opportunities.
• Build relationships with business, technology, fintech, and cybersecurity media for high-quality coverage.
• Prepare spokespeople with messaging, briefing materials, Q&A, and supporting content.
• Translate PR strategy into U.S. execution with measurable outcomes like brand awareness and share of voice.
• Coordinate PR calendar aligned to product launches, campaigns, and events.
