Job summary

TruePoint Communications is seeking an Account Executive to support the execution and day-to-day management of client accounts, contributing to media relations, strategic communications, and account operations.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Hybrid work (3 days in office, 2 days remote) and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing, editing and presentation skills, with ability to craft media materials.
• Proven media relations skills and track record of securing results.
• Strategic thinking and ability to communicate concepts to clients and team.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with high-level client executives and report at meetings.
• Solid account management skills with ownership and leadership.
• Independent and collaborative, with proactive recommendations to improve results.
• Detail-oriented, multi-tasking, quick learner, and able to meet deadlines.
• Regular consumption of local and national media and active social media use (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Canva.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary support for assigned client accounts and develop into a client lead role.
• Gain experience in client relations, strategy development and execution.
• Learn marketing and delegation skills through development of interns.
• Conduct media relations outreach aligned with PR goals across outlets.
• Develop media materials such as pitches, advisories and talking points.
• Secure and coordinate media interviews and manage inquiries.
• Staff media events and proactively manage media relations.
• Report publicity results to internal leadership accurately.
• Maintain relationships with clients and assist with deadlines and budgets.
• Write and edit high-quality media, messaging and marketing collateral.
• Support development of strategic PR plans to meet goals.
• Develop and maintain systems to track client deliverables.
• Ensure timely delivery of client work to account leads.
