Salary range varies based on location, experience, skills, and qualifications. In California, it ranges from $63,300 to $86,900.

Role Summary

• Maintain and repair VWGoA vehicles; develop repair procedures and validate information.
• Coordinate daily work of technicians during peak times under supervision.
• Serve as backup for the Port Technical Quality Representative, liaising with factories and VWGoA.
• Manage financial systems and reports related to VWGoA business.

Role Responsibilities

Lead Technician/Technical (80%)

• Repair, test, and update VW/Audi vehicles to current technical standards.
• Communicate issues and solutions to quality departments.
• Test vehicles to diagnose problems and evaluate new diagnostic systems.
• Perform repairs based on new information and provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Analyze failure modes and validate field fixes.
• Support vehicle launches and order parts as needed.
• Develop test fixtures and diagnostic techniques.
• Maintain a clean work environment and update VWGoA Scan Tools.

Shop Foreman Role Responsibility (20%)

• Manage work orders, technician scheduling, and warranty processes.
• Coordinate parts tracking and warranty payments.
• Assist with scheduling and resource management for warranty activities.

Qualifications

Experience: 7+ years in Audi/Volkswagen dealership

Required Education: Automotive Technology degree or certification, technical training, Master Technician certification, extensive product knowledge, diagnostic tools training, HVE & HVT certification.

Desired Education: Bachelor's in Automotive Technology.

• ASE Master Certification in automotive or paint technology.

Work Flexibility

• Domestic travel 10-40%, international less than 20%, occasional weekend travel.
