Job summary

SA-TECH, a DoD contractor, seeks a Travel Clerk I for Schofield Barracks, HI to support Army Logistic Services. You will handle customer service for military and civilian personnel, facilitate relocation of property and families, and ensure compliance with JTR/DTR.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers upon entry to the facility.
• Read and decipher military orders.
• Ask questions or seek guidance from TC II or TC III when needed.
• Schedule counseling appointments efficiently and accurately.
• Verify data in the Defense Personal Property System before appointments.
• Maintain customer correspondence via email and phone.
• Update internal trackers with completed workload.
• Keep filing organized and up to date.
• Attend training on processing shipments (UB, HHG, Storage, Local Moves, PPM, POV).
• Read/understand JTR/DTR regulations and SOPs.
• Read/understanding the PWS and its requirements.
• Cross-utilization in other duties such as safety, security and environmental.
• Housekeeping of offices and entrances.
• Overtime as required.

Pay Range: $24.70/hr. + $5.05/hr. (Health & Wellness Benefit if Union coverage declined)

SA-TECH supports the U.S. Army Sustainment Command’s Enhance Army Global Logistics Enterprise Logistics Support Services at Schofield Barracks and Pohakuloa Training Area, HI. We provide maintenance services in the form of above-brigade-level, field, sustainment, and limited depot-level maintenance support as well as transportation counseling services and handling passenger, equipment, and cargo movements for Army Field Support Battalion Hawaii’s (AFSBn-HAW) assigned tactical units and government affiliated civilian agencies.

We are currently hiring a Travel Clerk I (TCI) at our Schofield Barracks, HI location to perform a full range of administrative tasks and technical duties that support transportation operations tied to Army Logistic Support Services. The TCI provides customer service for military and civilian personnel to facilitate relocation of personal property and family members based on orders, transportation entitlements, Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and Defense Transportation Regulations (DTR).

Essential job duties include (but may not be limited to):

• Acknowledging and greeting customers upon entry to the facility.
• Reading and deciphering military orders.
• Answering questions or seeking guidance from a TCII or TCIII to do so.
• Efficiently and accurately schedule counseling appointments.
• Verifying data in the Defense Personal Property System before scheduling counseling appointment.
• Maintaining customer correspondence regarding appointment scheduling via email and phone.
• Ensuring internal trackers are updated with completed workload.
• Keeping up on internal filing.
• Attending training on how to process shipments for: Unaccompanied Baggage (UB), Household Goods (HHG), Storage (Temporary, Non-Temporary, and Special), Local Moves, Personally Procured Moves, and Privately Owned Vehicles (POV).
• Reading/understanding JTR and DTR regulations to increase knowledge.
• Reading/understanding/following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Reading/understanding the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and its requirements.

Additional job duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Cross-utilization in other job duties such as safety, security and environmental.
• Housekeeping of office areas and area surrounding the office entrances.
• Overtime work as required.
• Other duties as deemed necessary.

Work Conditions:

• Work is typically performed in well-ventilated and lighted areas.
• May be required to lift 25 to 50 pounds without assistance.
• May be required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time while working.
