UL Solutions is seeking a PPE Engineer to join our Built Environments team in a hybrid role based in Research Triangle Park, NC. The position requires on-site presence three days per week and involves client interaction, project planning, and coordinating laboratory activities.

You will review product construction, determine specifications, and ensure compliance with UL requirements while supporting test programs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering or related field.
• 2+ years engineering experience preferred.
• Experience in textile development or testing preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management.

Responsibilities

• Determines project scope, plan, and specifications based on client input and data.
• Liaises with clients to explain UL procedures, costs, and timelines.
• Coordinates laboratory activities and manages project documentation.
• Assesses product samples for UL compliance and communicates results to clients.
• Develops test methods and procedures and supports special equipment development.
