Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking an experienced FP&A professional to lead budgeting, forecasting, and quarterly planning in Santa Clara. You will partner with PPB, R&D, and operations to drive spending discipline, headcount planning, and financial performance.

You will build dashboards, consolidate reporting, and support executive reviews with data-driven insights. Strong Excel, Anaplan, and SAP BPC experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, business finance, portfolio finance, investment analysis, or related areas.
• Experience supporting OpEx, CapEx, and headcount planning processes.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial planning and reporting tools (Anaplan, SAP BPC, Tableau or similar).
• Proven experience in business partnering, with a track record of communicating effectively across multiple functions and stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-quarter spending and budget management with PPB business partners, and own day-to-day spending management and reporting activities across the PPB Business Unit.
• Lead Finance Reporting Processes: consolidate financials for PPB P&L forecasting and reporting; develop dashboards and reporting tools for visibility.
• Partner with Corporate FP&A to define requirements, align priorities, and enhance reporting capabilities.
• Drive system and process improvements across forecasting, reporting, automation, and data quality.
• Lead financial forecasting for the R&D teams, supporting product development investment analysis and manufacturing cost analysis.
• Coordinate with BU finance partners to forecast, report, and analyze; provide guidance on priorities and deliverables.
