Job summary

RPM xConstruction, LLC in Texas is seeking a Float Finisher to join the team. Produce final finishes on concrete surfaces according to project specs, using rough/fine brooms or special groove rakes, on commercial, residential, and industrial sites.

You will monitor wind, heat, or cold effects on the concrete and ensure proper cross slopes and tolerances, while performing tasks with hand or power tools. Work normally begins at 5am and may continue through 6pm, Monday to Saturday.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 3-year experience as a Concrete Finisher.
• Basic understanding of English to read and understand work instructions and safety information.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, sitting, squatting, and occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 25 pounds.
• Must be available for work 5am – 6pm Monday through Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Produce final finishes on concrete surfaces based on job specifications, using rough/fine brooms or groove rakes.
• Know and apply proper cross slopes and tolerances for sidewalks, driveways, ramps, curbs, and other concrete structures.
• Spread, level, and smooth concrete with rake, shovel, trowel, screed, and float.
• Monitor weather effects on concrete throughout the process.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Produce various final finishes on concrete surfaces based of job specific requirements, using rough/fine brooms or special groove rakes.
• Must have knowledge of proper cross slopes and acceptable tolerances of all sidewalks, driveways, ramps, curbs, and other concrete structures.
• Spread, level, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float.
• Monitor how the wind, heat, or cold affect the various stages of the concrete throughout the entire process.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Must have a minimum of 3-year experience as a Concrete Finisher
• Working under all weather conditions
• Basic understanding of English to read and understand work instructions and safety information.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to: walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, sitting, squatting, and occasionally lifting and carrying items which may weigh up to 25 pounds.
• Must be available for work 5am – 6pm Monday through Saturdays.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to machines and chemicals at various times. The noise level in the work environment is usually high.
