Job summary

RPM xConstruction, LLC in Texas seeks a skilled Concrete Finisher to lay and finish concrete surfaces for commercial, residential, and industrial projects. You will follow job specifications, apply broom finish, and ensure surfaces meet cross-slope and tolerance requirements.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of English to read safety information
• Ability to meet physical demands (lifting, bending, etc.)
• Available for work 5am–6pm, Monday through Saturdays

Responsibilities

• Produce final finishes on concrete surfaces using broom, grooves, or rakes
• Must know cross slopes and tolerances for sidewalks, driveways, ramps, curbs and other concrete structures
• Spread, level, and smooth concrete with rake, shovel, trowel, screed and float
• Monitor weather effects on concrete across all stages of the process

Duties and Responsibilities

• Produce various final finishes on concrete surfaces based of job specific requirements, using rough/fine brooms or special groove rakes.
• Must have knowledge of proper cross slopes and acceptable tolerances of all sidewalks, driveways, ramps, curbs, and other concrete structures.
• Spread, level, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float.
• Monitor how the wind, heat, or cold affect the various stages of the concrete throughout the entire process.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Must have a minimum of 3-year experience as a Concrete Finisher
• Working under all weather conditions
• Basic understanding of English to read and understand work instructions and safety information.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to: walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, sitting, squatting, and occasionally lifting and carrying items which may weigh up to 25 pounds.
• Must be available for work 5am – 6pm Monday through Saturdays.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to machines and chemicals at various times. The noise level in the work environment is usually high.
