Ford Racing in Allen Park, MI, is seeking a high-performance powertrain engineer to lead complete system delivery from concept to production. You will collaborate with manufacturing, design, and program teams to ensure the optimal balance of cost, weight, and performance.

The role requires a strong background in powertrain systems, a track record of leading complex projects, and the ability to drive solutions in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid work is available with substantial onsite presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the development of complete powertrain and underbody systems, with a strong emphasis on high performance applications.
• Proven experience delivering multiple high-performance powertrain and underbody systems from concept and launch through production.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptual layout and delivery of a new complete powertrain system.
• Manage program delivery of quality, cost, weight, function and timing from concept through to production.
• Coordinate and manage outside engineering and design resources; interface with core technical specialists.
• Function as primary technical interface with manufacturing engineering to ensure fit with processes and commercial needs.
• Technical management of interface complexities with neighboring systems.
• Support vehicle program/platform teams to address functional vehicle performance attributes.
• Technical leadership for prototype builds and problem resolution.
