Job summary

Harbinger, an American EV startup in Garden Grove, seeks a Strategic Sourcing Specialist for Combustion Systems to own end-to-end procurement of combustion, engine, and powertrain components for our hybrid platforms.

You will balance strategic sourcing with hands-on procurement, build a resilient supplier base, and drive cost-efficiency as we scale production. Strong analytics, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

5+ years in strategic sourcing, commodity management, or procurement.
Experience with engines/EDU/powertrain systems is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in SCM, Engineering, or Business Administration.
Strong negotiation, project management, and cross-functional skills.
Advanced data analytics with Google Sheets and Excel.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic and operational sourcing plans; balance high-level strategy with daily procurement tasks.
Source and evaluate global suppliers to build a resilient supply base for hybrid powertrains.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to secure value, quality, and delivery.
Manage supplier relationships and performance; resolve bottlenecks and drive improvements.
Lead cross-functional PM efforts; liaise between engineering, manufacturing, and partners.
Design data trackers, KPIs, and dashboards to monitor spend and supplier performance.
Adapt to a fast-changing startup environment and shifting priorities.
