Volvo is seeking a Software Integration Engineer to accelerate the development of powertrain software for heavy-duty trucks and buses. You will join the North American Powertrain Engineering team, working onsite in Hagerstown, MD, to develop test automation tools, data storage and analysis capabilities, and lab automation in a C#/.NET environment.

Competenze

• BS in CS/CE/EE or related field required; MS degree preferred.
• 10+ years of related experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Familiarity with GIT and its command line.
• Proficient in programming languages and communication protocols.
• Data reduction and analysis skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Basic Project Management skills.
• Diesel Engine understanding is a plus.

Mansioni

• Develop test automation software for test cells.
• Support laboratory databases.
• Integrate various smart hardware through multiple communication protocols in the heavy-duty engine dynamometer testing environment.
• Develop user interfaces for test cell operations.
• Troubleshoot software/hardware issues that occur in the engine development test cells and document solutions.
• Write various test scripts in C# to develop tools or applications outside the test environment.
• Operate PC-based test equipment such as Vision, CANalyzer, and Kvaser CAN to implement testing.
• Develop and maintain test cell automation protocols for performance or durability testing.
• Develop and maintain SQL databases and ASP.NET MVC interfaces.
• Provide technical interface to lab services technicians and engineers.
• Networking, relationship building and collaborating with user groups to address challenges.
