Job summary

Tenneco, a global leader in the transportation industry, seeks a Sales Manager to act as the main liaison between customers and engineering, manufacturing and finance teams. You will develop and manage current business issues and new opportunities for the Powertrain Americas unit, coordinating with purchasing, marketing, engineering and quality functions.

You will travel to visit customers, develop sales strategies, and support pricing, quotes, and contract discussions to drive profitable growth

Responsibilities

• Act as key customer contact within the Tenneco organization.
• Support multiple customers across functional groups and locations.
• Share information with Sales and other groups and with other Tenneco Units.
• Visit customers regularly and support sales strategies for customers and parts.
• Contribute to annual and medium/long-term sales plans and forecasts.
• Identify and propose new business opportunities with Application Engineering.
• Prepare quotations with Sales Administration and follow up on progress.
• Negotiate or assist in negotiating high-level contracts and/or supply agreements.
• Ensure profitability of OE and OES parts delivered to customers.
