Job summary

Iveco Group is seeking a Powertrain Field Quality Engineer in Woodridge, IL to support diagnostics and field quality initiatives for diesel engines and powertrain systems.

The role collaborates with dealers, customers, engineering, manufacturing, and product support to investigate complex concerns, improve reliability, and drive corrective actions while traveling as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with diesel engines and powertrain.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and electronics systems.
  • Ability to travel extensively across the assigned territory.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and diagnostic software tools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic guidance for complex, high-priority field concerns.
  • Validate containment actions and corrective solutions for escalated concerns.
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and partner with Engineering to validate hypotheses.
  • Document complex concerns with data, logs, videos, telematics, and conditions.
  • Escalate critical concerns with necessary evidence to Engineering and Product Support.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer by gathering input from customers.

  • PerformadvanceddiagnosticsandpartnerwithEngineeringtovalidatehypotheses.


Field Issue Configuration & Cross Functional Collaboration



  • Documentcomplexconcernswithcompletedata,includinglogs,videos,freeze-framedata,telematics,dutycycle,andconditions.

  • EscalatecriticalconcernswithnecessaryevidencetoEngineering,FieldQuality,andProductSupport.

  • MaintainglobalIssueMasteraccuracyforvisibilityandconsistency.

  • Participateinrootcauseandcorrectiveactionreviewstoimproveproductquality.

  • ServeastheVoiceoftheCustomerbygatheringinputfromcustomers.

  • Translatereal-worldoperatingconditionsintoactionabletechnicalinsights.

RequiredQualifications
