Job summary

Baker Engineering, LLC is seeking a Test Technician in Nunica, MI to perform setup, assembly and testing of engines, transmissions, and electric vehicle powertrain components. The role requires hands-on mechanical work and deep familiarity with engine dynamometers and instrumentation.

You will assemble engines, calibrate data acquisition systems, and document test activities while supporting the Baker culture of teamwork and service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in engine test environments.
• Knowledge of gas and diesel engine operation.
• Ability to work with electrical systems and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble engines and powerpacks for testing.
• Set up and calibrate data acquisition systems and instrumentation.
• Perform engine and powerpack testing per test plans.
• Troubleshoot test articles and instrumentation issues as needed.
• Build, upgrade and maintain test facilities including dynamometers and test cells.
