The role leads development of intake and exhaust systems from concept to production, ensuring Harley sound and regulatory compliance, collaborating across engineering, Manufacturing, Service, Styling, Purchasing, and platform teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Typically requires 3 years of related engineering experience.
• Experience in leading or contributing to DFMEA and DVP&R activities.
• Proficiency in CAD (Creo / Pro-E preferred).
• Understanding of exhaust system design, acoustics, and emissions components.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and datum structure development.
• Experience in cross-functional product development environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and release of intake and exhaust components from concept through production.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and with suppliers to meet performance, cost, weight, and timing targets.
• Drive balance of sound, performance, durability, and emissions through design, validation, and testing.
• Identify and implement new technologies into product lifecycle plans.
• Communicate effectively, influence decisions, and solve complex engineering challenges.
