Job summary

Van Wall Group in Perry, IA is seeking a Powersports Technician to diagnose, repair, and perform scheduled maintenance on a variety of powersports equipment. The role includes cross training into other equipment repair as needed.

You will use diagnostic software and manuals, perform component removal and reconditioning, and communicate with customers about repairs. The position requires physical ability and basic computer/diagnostic tool proficiency, with opportunities for growth in

Qualifications

2+ years of experience with small engine mechanics.
High School Diploma required.
2-year technical degree preferred.
Polaris certifications required or willing to obtain.
Ownership of necessary tools.
Electronic diagnostic ability.
Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly.
Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Able to use a computer and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

Diagnose equipment using diagnostic software or online manuals.
Perform component removal, disassembly, and reconditioning as part of the repair process.
Safely operate all equipment the dealership sells and services (ATVs, Motorcycles, Side x sides, etc.).
Resolve electrical and mechanical issues.
Participate in special programs, such as sales of service packages.
Communicate repairs with customers to explain work performed.
