Job summary

Actalent is seeking an ATV Engineering Technician to support complete vehicle durability testing of ATVs and side-by-sides in a research and development setting. You will assemble, test, maintain, and tear down powersports vehicles while collaborating with engineering teams to ensure safety, performance, and reliability.

This long-term, hands-on role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to travel to remote test sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive/powersports testing experience.
• Follows detailed test procedures precisely.
• Strong troubleshooting and written communication.
• Willingness to travel to test sites, including winter months.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle testing per defined procedures and guidelines.
• Assemble complete vehicles using drawings and manuals.
• Conduct maintenance and safety checks before, during, and after testing.
• Document test findings for project leaders with detailed explanation.
• Tear-down vehicles for part confirmation and evaluation after testing.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and systems issues during testing.
• Collaborate with engineering/test teams to execute plans.
• Maintain organized and safe shop and test areas.
• Support on-site testing at test tracks; travel to remote locations as needed.
• Ask clarifying questions when conditions unclear.
• Follow instructions accurately and consistently.
