Job summary

Young Automotive Group is hiring a Powersports Assembly Technician for the Powersports XL Build Center. You will assemble motorcycles, ATVs, and UTVs, perform PDIs, and prepare units for showroom or customer delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, small engine repair, or mechanical experience.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and comfort using hand tools, torque wrenches, and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals and assembly instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Motorcycle Endorsement Required.
• Must supply own tools.

Responsibilities

• Uncrate and assemble new motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles, and personal watercraft according to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform thorough pre-delivery inspections to ensure all components are functioning properly and safely.
• Torque bolts to spec, install batteries, fluids, tires, and accessories as required.
• Maintain accurate records of completed assemblies and inspections.
• Troubleshoot and correct basic mechanical or cosmetic issues during the assembly process.
• Assist with setup for events, showroom floor updates, or customer deliveries.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols.
• Communicate with service and sales teams regarding unit readiness, missing parts, or special requests.
• Occasionally assist with basic repairs, accessory installations, or general service work if needed.
