Job summary

Medxcel is seeking a Boiler Operator at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. You will operate and oversee boiler and HVAC systems, monitor indicators, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliable facility operations.

The role requires a high school diploma, completion of an accredited boiler operator program, and relevant licenses with at least 3 years of experience. Responsibilities also include data logging and supporting team projects in an evening/PRN schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Boiler Operator learning program.
• License as Powerplant Operator, Boiler Operator, or Stationary Engineer as required by local regulations.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local plant operations and boiler operation codes.

Responsibilities

• Operates, controls, and safely shuts down primary and auxiliary power plant systems, including boilers and HVAC equipment.
• Monitors meters and indicators to regulate power flow and diagnose equipment issues.
• Conducts troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on facility equipment and related systems.
• Compiles operational data, maintains logs, and manages emergency communications during outages.
• Supports leadership by training colleagues and participating in projects.
