Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking an Equipment Operator to operate heavy equipment and remove branches from electrical lines. The role involves handling varied equipment, complying with safety standards, and coordinating with property owners.

Responsibilities include ensuring quality production, training new personnel, and maintaining good customer relations while safeguarding the public from hazards. This position requires 18+ and awareness of electrical hazards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to identify tree and shrub species.
• Familiar with electrical hazards.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, directs, checks, and coordinates work.
• Operates and services equipment such as gasoline tools, power saws, power winches, mower deck, weed whacker, chipper, and sprayers.
• Cleans up and disposes of all debris.
• Uses hand-tools such as axes, pruners and other equipment as required.
• Sprays brush and stumps with proper herbicides.
• Responsible for quality and quantity of production.
• Performs all aspects of labor to keep crew operation flowing.
• Ensures safety, quality and production requirements of the crew are met.
• Obtains permission from property owners to trim or remove trees or perform work on property.
• Arranges access with customers and explains work to be done.
• Maintains good customer and public relations through effective work and behavior.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards; sets up barriers and warning signs.
• Trains new personnel.
• Keeps informed on new equipment and procedures.
