Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade school equivalent.
• Strong math, physics and chemistry knowledge for plant operations.
• Experience with boiler and turbine operations preferred.
• Ability to work in hot, noisy environments with safety compliance.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Monitor boilers and turbine generators and respond to load changes.
• Perform rounds, read gauges, and adjust controls.
• Test safety controls and blow down boiler as needed.
• Inspect and maintain piping, valves, pumps and safety devices.
• Record meter readings and operation data.
• Start up and shut down boilers and synchronize generators.
• Maintain chemical balance for boiler water and cooling systems.
• Observe safety procedures and wear protective equipment.
