Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in Indianapolis seeks a Powerhouse Stationary Engineer – Electrician to operate and maintain boilers, generators, compressors, dryers, heat exchangers, pumps, and water conditioning systems in a three‑shift environment. You will monitor plant systems and perform preventive and corrective maintenance to keep production running.

The role requires climbing, working around high voltage equipment, and occasional overtime including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with apprenticeship or 8 years of equivalent training to qualify as a Stationary Engineer Journeyman.
• Experience or training in operation of steam boilers, generators, and related equipment.
• Able to work all shifts, including weekends, and to drive a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Look after operation and maintenance of steam boilers, generators, air compressors, dryers, heat exchangers, pumps, cooling towers and water conditioning systems.
• Operate, adjust and maintain utilities equipment to ensure uninterrupted steam, water, gas and electrical supply.
• Lubricate, inspect, clean, calibrate and replace worn parts on Power House machinery; test equipment.
• Perform high voltage electrical switching in local substations.
• Work inside/outside in various weather, climb stairs/ladders, and comply with safety protocols.
