Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a 10K Forklift Operator for a company in Pelham, AL. Operate a 10,000‑lb forklift to load, unload, transport, and stage materials in an outdoor lumber yard. Prior experience with oversized materials and a strong safety focus is required.

Job includes Monday–Friday, 6:00am start, with opportunities for permanent hire beyond assignment. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of forklift experience in a lumber/yard setting.
• Ability to safely handle large and oversized materials.
• Able to work outdoors; experience handling building materials.
• Must read work orders and shipping documents.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 10K forklift to move lumber, trusses, and other materials.
• Load and unload vehicles, flatbeds, and trucks safely and efficiently.
• Pull, stage, and verify customer orders for accuracy.
• Organize and maintain inventory within yard locations.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Provide excellent service to drivers and customers in the yard.
