Reading Partners, a national nonprofit focused on literacy, seeks a Powered by Reading Partners VISTA to help expand reach beyond traditional school programming. You will research potential partners, build a national partnership pipeline, and create tools to track engagement and expansion.

You will collaborate with Reading Partners staff and community partners while gaining experience in nonprofit strategy, market research, and program expansion.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience with market research, partnership development, program expansion, or strategic planning is a plus.
• Interest in education, community development, partnerships or social impact.

Responsibilities

• Research schools, libraries, nonprofits, municipalities and community organizations that could become partners.
• Build a national partnership pipeline and tools to research, track and engage prospects.
• Conduct landscape analyses of priority markets, including literacy needs, educational gaps, community assets, funding opportunities and existing services.
• Develop market profiles to inform expansion decisions.
• Create standardized partner onboarding, communication, implementation and coordination resources.
• Develop tools to support model fidelity and sustainability.
• Research professional development and caregiver engagement approaches and create scalable resources for community partners.
• Establish systems to document lessons and track expansion.
• Develop recommendations to support future national growth.

Reading Partners is a national nonprofit dedicated to helping children become lifelong readers by connecting them with community volunteers and evidence-based literacy support. For more than 25 years, Reading Partners has worked alongside schools, families, and communities to expand access to high-quality literacy resources for students in historically underserved communities.As a Powered by Reading Partners VISTA, you will build the systems and partnerships needed to expand Reading Partners' reach beyond traditional school-based programming. Powered by Reading Partners enables community organizations and other partners to bring literacy support to children and families in their own communities. Your work will help identify where expansion can have the greatest impact and create the tools partners need to successfully implement and sustain the model.We are looking for a curious, strategic, and highly organized individual who enjoys research, relationship-building, and turning complex information into practical solutions. Strong candidates will have excellent written and verbal communication, research, project management, and analytical skills, with an interest in education, community development, partnerships, or social impact. Experience with market research, partnership development, program implementation, or strategic planning is a plus.During your service, you will gain experience in nonprofit strategy, market research, partnership development, program expansion, community engagement, professional development, and national systems building. You will collaborate with Reading Partners staff and community partners while contributing to the growth of a national literacy model.
