Job description

Our client is looking for a bleeding-edge Power BI Consultant who can help redesign a large Power BI environment. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of strong UX/UI skills to help make the report both functional and aesthetically pleasing. They will also need to possess the backend skills required to get the data ready for use.

The CIO is very interested in implementing the new AI features in Power BI, so familiarity and experience with implementing and leveraging Azure AI functionality in Power BI is a huge plus.

This is a 4+ months contract role that will be 100% remote (your work hours will be in the CST time zone).

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• The role involves UX design and technical expertise in Power BI to automate insights, mentor the existing team, set guidelines, share best practices, and make decisions to improve the platform.

• Expected to understand the value of a good data architecture and data model for analytics.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong UX design skills and a creative touch to make Power BI visually appealing.

• Technical expertise in Power BI, including DAX coding and understanding its limitations.

• Knowledge of data architecture and data modeling, particularly star schema.

• Experience or familiarity with AI capabilities in Power BI.

• Ability to mentor and guide a team, setting guidelines and sharing best practices.

• Experience in real estate, property management, hotels, or resorts is a plus due to similar metrics.
