Job summary

Etched in San Jose is seeking a Power Validation Engineer to own the end-to-end power characterization of our ASIC and mezzanine card platform, from early silicon bring-up through production qualification. You will design measurement methodology, build test benches, and drive findings into silicon, package, and system design decisions across PDN, VRM and power sequencing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on bench experience with power delivery, VRM, and PDN impedance.
• Ability to design experiments to isolate root causes in hardware/software stacks.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute power measurement campaigns across voltage rails; characterize peak, sustained, and idle power.
• Validate PDN performance and translate measurements into PCB and package feedback.
• Profile power transient events and build automated power sweep frameworks for inference workloads.
• Run extended stress workloads (72 h+) and support global partners with testing and debugging.
• Validate power sequencing and PMBus telemetry; own pass/fail criteria across qualification stages.
• Generate precise validation reports and collaborate with RTL and physical design teams.
• Lead system-level power integrity characterization from converters to ASIC.
