Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Manager with top-tier power utility experience for Chicago-based substations and heavy civil construction. You will lead the full lifecycle of power projects, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and utility clients to ensure safe, high-quality delivery.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years in power utility or heavy civil PM, experience with substations, underground infrastructure, and duct banks, and proficiency in Procore,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in power utility or heavy civil construction.
• Experience with substations, electrical infrastructure, duct banks, or underground utilities.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of power utility construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Oversee substation, underground electrical, and distribution infrastructure projects.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and utility clients to ensure successful delivery.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead project meetings, reporting, and client communication.
