Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Power Unit Specialist to build, test, diagnose, repair and perform preventive maintenance on power units and compactors. Work includes mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fabrication tasks with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in industrial equipment, hydraulics, electrical systems, mechanical repair, heavy equipment, compactors, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic systems and electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Experience with fabrication and welding.
• Experience with LOTO procedures.

Responsabilités

• Inspect, build, test, and brand power units for installation in accordance with RFQs and specifications.
• Assist with installation, service, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of power units and compactors in the field.
• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair compactors and related equipment.
• Perform safety and operational inspections to ensure compliance with standards and electrical codes.
• Read and interpret hydraulic, electrical, mechanical schematics to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Estimate labor time, materials, and parts for repairs and new tasks.
• Use SAP to record labor hours, parts, and other job-related information.
