Position: Electrical Engineer (Remote)

An international design and manufacturing company specializing in high voltage transmission equipment seeks an Electrical Engineer to work on products for the electrical transmission industry, specifically for overhead power transmission lines.

This is a fully remote position. You can live anywhere in the United States. You must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S. The company offers excellent benefits, including a 10-20% bonus, health benefits, and a 6% 401K match.

We also have similar openings for candidates with Electrical Engineering or Structural/Civil Engineering backgrounds in Power Line Transmission projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate in research and development concerning electrical insulation for power transmission lines and structures.
2. Be knowledgeable of market practices in the design, construction, and commissioning of power transmission and distribution projects.
3. Study power transmission solutions and identify business opportunities in grid projects.
4. Evaluate projects for best practices, government compliance, and market standards.
5. Work closely with marketing, management, and operations teams.
6. Engage with suppliers, customers, finance, and sales departments.

Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of electrical overhead power transmission line projects up to 500 kV, including planning, design, procurement, and execution.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor’s degree (required).
• At least three years’ experience with power line CAD systems (PLS-CADD) and PLS POLE transmission line engineering.
• Proficiency in engineering transmission lines with line posts, braced line posts, and insulated cross-arms.
• Experience in developing innovative solutions for compact transmission lines.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.

This role requires experience in power transmission projects and a minimum of a BSEE degree. Similar opportunities are available for candidates with a Structural/Civil Engineering degree and relevant background.
